INNER WEATHER
A psychology-rooted check-in for your inner world.
Short reflections on emotions, reactions, relationships and the patterns that quietly shape how we think, feel and behave. Each episode is an invitation to notice what is happening inside before it becomes what happens next.
You check the weather outside. What about the weather within?
A reaction rarely begins at the moment we notice it. By the time the words come out, the message is sent or the argument begins, something has often been moving inside us for a while: disappointment, fear, shame, resentment, longing, comparison, uncertainty or simply exhaustion.
INNER WEATHER is a bite-sized, psychology-rooted check-in for that inner world. It is less interested in telling you what to feel than in helping you notice what you are already feeling, name it with more precision and create a little more choice around what you do next.
The episodes draw on coaching, psychology, neuroscience, leadership and human behaviour, but they are designed for ordinary moments: when you are overthinking a message, carrying an old hurt, struggling to let go, feeling unseen in a relationship, losing confidence or wondering why the same pattern has returned yet again.

INNER WEATHER works best as a small interruption to automatic living.
Pause
Stop long enough to notice that something is happening before trying to explain it away or act on it.
Name
Move beyond “good”, “bad” or “stressed”. More precise emotional language often creates more precise choices.
Notice
Ask what thought, memory, expectation, relationship or pattern may be shaping the reaction.
Choose
Decide what deserves action, what needs a conversation, what needs a boundary and what may simply need to pass.
The emotional weather we rarely learn to read.
Episodes move across personal life, relationships, identity, work and leadership because inner patterns do not stay neatly inside one category.
Self-awareness
Recognising what you feel, what triggered it and how emotion shows up before it becomes behaviour.
Overthinking
Rumination, uncertainty and the mind’s attempt to manufacture certainty when none is available.
Letting go
Why endings can remain psychologically active and what makes release different from denial.
Attachment & boundaries
Closeness, distance, disappointment, unmet needs, repair and self-respect.
Identity & confidence
The stories we carry about who we are, what we deserve and what we believe is possible.
Regulation & resilience
Recovering choice when emotion rises, without confusing regulation with suppression.
Leadership & behaviour
How inner reactions influence judgement, communication, power and decision-making.
Habits & repetition
Why insight does not automatically produce change and why patterns return.
Wholeness
Moving beyond the chase for constant happiness towards a more honest relationship with being human.
Small enough for a pause. Deep enough to stay with you.
INNER WEATHER is deliberately concise. It is not a lecture series and it is not a substitute for therapy, medical care or individual coaching. Think of each episode as a prompt: a few minutes to look at one human pattern more closely, then take that observation back into your own life.
Conversations about the inner world, without turning people into diagnoses.
Dr Krishna Athal is a Life & Executive Coach, corporate trainer and leadership consultant working across India, Mauritius and Singapore. His work draws on leadership, psychology, neuroscience and human behaviour to help people think more clearly about patterns, choices, relationships and change.
INNER WEATHER extends that work into a public format. Rather than offering universal formulas, the series explores one experience at a time: why we react the way we do, what may sit beneath the reaction and how greater awareness can create more deliberate action.
The podcast is educational and reflective. It is not clinical care and does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions.
“Not fix yourself. Understand yourself.”
Reflection becomes more useful when it changes how you meet real life.
